A fully cohesive wedding | Liba & Myles in Charleston

Liba and Myles got married in May at the Gaillard Center in Charleston, and I was extra excited that I got to attend and see everything in person! You will see why we had so much fun working with Liba on her vision as you read through and look at all the photos. Let’s walk through the process, from first proofs to final wedding moments!

Our first step with any couple is to have them fill out a details questionnaire, which captures not just the nitty gritty details like time and date and address, but also the general vibe of the couple, the wedding, and the invitation suite. Most of the time we begin with designing the save the date or invitation suite (we did both for Liba & Myles!), and then we use that as a blueprint for all of the day-of wedding items.

When we started on Liba & Myles’s invitation suite, here’s what they told us:

  • Florals, butterflies and whimsical cursive font

  • Light blue envelope with white ink addressing

  • Mixing of shapes, but something that still looks classic and not too funky; perhaps a bamboo pagoda shape

  • Include champagne coupes or bottles somewhere

  • A few little fun surprises hidden in the invite (champagne bottle, glasses, Brooks, butterflies, etc.)

Their Pinterest Board looked like this:

Our first round of proofs actually ended up being pretty close to the final, with just a few tweaks needed! (we love when that happens)

After those little tweaks and additions (like more butterflies!), here is the final version we landed on:

A full carousel of flatlay photos because it’s just that good. I love the way this turned out; looking at their Pinterest Board, this fits those whimsical coastal vibes exactly. Also can we just take a moment to talk about the watercolor version of their pug, Brooks, on the invite?? I die.

Once the suite is complete and approved by the couple, we get everything ordered and sent out. Liba and Myles opted to assemble the suites themselves (we offer it as an add-on service for couples who want it!) so everything was sent directly to them to mail out.

Then it’s on to the next phase: day-of wedding items!

Here is a list of all the items we did for Liba and Myles’s wedding:

  1. Small Signage (signature drinks + guest book signs)

  2. Escort cards + envelopes (they wrote thank you notes to each guest)

  3. Tented place cards

  4. Menus (they’re ROUND)

  5. Koozies

  6. Table Numbers (technically names— after places they have traveled together)

  7. Matchbooks

  8. Cocktail Napkins

  9. Stickers for their late night snack (french fries!!)

  10. Bar menu banners

  11. Welcome banner

  12. Fake dollar bills with their dog’s face on them

You’ll see in the photos below that those all of these items coordinate perfectly with the invitation suite, creating cohesion from start to finish! (We also got to do their rehearsal dinner and bridal brunch invitations + welcome signs. Literally this wedding was so much fun. More rehearsal dinner pictures below!)

Whimsy. French blue. Butterflies. Watercolor. Hand lettering. Dollar bill shooting gun. OUR CLIENTS ARE THE MOST FUN.

And about that rehearsal dinner…

Oh…and did I mention that I got to officiate this wedding?! Best day ever.

We love you, Rabants! And special thanks to Cushla Beasley for capturing everything so beautifully.

If you’re interested in working with us, give us a shout — we’d love to get to know you!
